"My game crashes when I play Race Series but not in Qualifying Series"
We have had players report us that the game crashes when they try to play Race Series in GP events, while they can play Qualifying Series without having this issue.
This is related to device memory (not to be confused with free storage space), as Race Series require more RAM to load and run compared to Qualifying Series. Please note that this issue can affect even high-end devices with up to 4 GB RAM.
We would like to remind our players to follow our troubleshooting steps here to free up memory on their device when they play F1® Mobile Racing as it may resolve the issue of crashes.
New info (29/04): We've recently received feedback from some iOS players regarding different troubleshooting steps to free up memory on their iOS device that eventually prevented these crashes from occurring again. Therefore, in addition to our troubleshooting steps, we invite you to:
Open the Settings App on your iOS device;
Head to the General section and tap on Shut Down (you will find it right at the end of the section);
a) A screen should pop up telling you to slide to power off with a Cancel button at the bottom, instead of using these buttons, hold down the Home button on your iOS device;
b) If you have a recent iPhone model (without the Home button on it), then you will have to switch on the AssistiveTouch button via the General section > Accessibility. Then, when you have the screen with the slide to power off and Cancel button, tap on the AssistiveTouch button and then press and hold on the on-screen Home button;
Your iOS device should then return to the Home or Settings screen which means that you successfully freed up memory (RAM) on your iOS device.
